The CNR Territorial Research Area of Cosenza operates as a Branch Office of the Prevention and Protection Service of the CNR in Rome.

The CNR Prevention and Protection Unit supports the scientific network and administrative structures with the aim of constantly improving working conditions and environments. Belonging to the Central Directorate Supporting the Scientific Network and Infrastructure, the Prevention and Protection Service deals with occupational safety and hygiene, risk assessment, definition of preventive measures, training and information.
